A flexible task lamp that floats effortlessly above any work surface. Designed with a head that tilts in six directions, Stasis uses spring tension to provide diffused task lighting in an infinite number of positions. With a timeless matte anodized finish, the lamp can function on a desk with a base or a clamp, can be mounted to a wall or easily transformed into a floor lamp.

HOVER CHAIR
2018

The Hover Chair was created through a sponsored studio class during the Fall of 2018. Haworth sponsored the studio class with the brief of creating furniture for the outdoor office. I wanted to focus on chair seating because that is the one thing you really lose when you go sit outside to work. The comfort of your own chair.
The Hover Chair takes the movement of a task chair and reinterprets it for the outdoors. Inspired by the notion of the park, and the sense of play that follows–the chair uses bent steel tube to suspend a swing like seat in midair. Hovering just above the ground, the chair sits low and wide for an inviting profile.
By reinterpreting the classic typology of a cantilever chair with a contemporary graphic profile, the chair can be used both outdoors and in. With a residential sensibility, the chair is proportioned to make a comfortable lounge when working with a laptop, or just taking a break to relax.

CONSOLE DESK
2017

Historically, desks have been designed for the things that sit on top of them. Today, papers are no longer organized with folders and cabinets but are organized digitally. The best working surface is the cleanest working surface.
The Console Desk is an electric desk system that suitable for the office or home. It is designed to support the contemporary work flow with a clean working surface, and a center structure that affords modular accessories to fit individuals needs.

WALDEN MEDITATION CUSHION
2017

The Walden meditation cushion is a contemporary take on a traditional zafu and zabuton.  The top cushion is filled with the traditional buckwheat hull and then topped with a thin layer of gel infused memory foam. The bottom cushion sits underneath to protect your feet and ankles from the floor. This combination creates a an ideal cushion for sitting on the floor and maintaining a strong upright posture. The exterior shell is both anti-microbial and water resistant.

PILLAR
2018

Part of an ongoing exploration in using off the shelf aluminum parts to construct everyday objects. The goal of which was to create a form that elevated the parts into something that looked unique while also providing a core function.  Pillar can be easiliy fabricated with only a table saw and a drill press.

PEPPER GRINDER
2015

I worked on this pepper grinder during my first internship at Chef’n. Chef’n is a kitchenware company based in Seattle, Washington. During my time there I had the opportunity to work on an affordable pepper grinder that would be sold in grocery markets. The goal of the product was to create something that stood out on an over saturated market shelf. The design solution was to use a more organic form complimented with pop colors.
